There is a powerful and mysterious force in human nature that is capable of bringing about dramatic improvement in our lives.  It is a kind of mental engineering that works best when supported by a strong religious faith.  It’s not difficult to practice; anyone can do it.  Recently it has caught the attention of doctors, psychologists, and thinkers every where, and a new word has been coined to described it.  That word is imaging, derived from imagination.

Imaging, the forming of mental pictures or images, is based on the principle that there is a deep tendency in human nature to ultimately become precisely like that which we imagine or image ourselves as being.  An image formed and held tenaciously in the conscious mind will pass presently, by a process of mental osmosis, into the unconscious mind.  And when it is accepted firmly in the unconscious, the individual will strongly tend to have it, for then it has you.  So powerful is the imaging effect on thought and performance that a long-held visualization of an objective or goal can become determinative.

Imaging is positive thinking carried one step further.  In imaging, one does not merely think about a hoped-for-goal; one “sees” or visualizes it with tremendous intensity, reinforced by prayer.  Imaging is a kind of laser beam of the imagination, a shaft of mental energy in which the desired goal or outcome is pictured vividly by the conscious mind that the unconscious mind accepts it and is activated by it.  This releases powerful internal forces that can bring about astonishing changes in the life of the person who is doing the imaging.

One day, there was a blind man sitting on the steps of a building with a sign by his feet and a sign that read: “I am blind, please help”. A creative publicist was walking by him and stopped to observe he only had a few coins in his hat, he dropped a few more coins in his hat and without asking for his permission took the sign, turned it around, and wrote another announcement. He placed the sign by his feet and left. That afternoon the creative publicist returned by the blind man and noticed that his hat was full of bills and coins. The blind man recognized his footsteps and asked if it was him who had re-written his sign and he wanted to know what did he write on it? The publicist responded: “Nothing that was not true, I just rewrote your sign differently”. He smiled and went on his way. The blind man never knew but his new sign read:
“TODAY IS SPRING AND I CANNOT SEE IT”.

Here’s a story, will give the abstract. Sit, think, analyze, come back and let me know who you think this person is, leave the answer in the Comments section.

“Life of Failures”

Once upon there was a man who lost heavily in business at 20, was defeated in a legislative race at 22, failed again in business at 24, over came love failure at 26 and a nervous breakdown at 27, lost a senatorial race at 34, lost his chance to be the vice president at 47, but finally found SUCCESS at 52.

Who would this be ?

Today, 8th of March is International Women’s Day (IWD). Everyone speaks how a modern woman should be, what she should be doing and how she’s supposed to live. But, not very often we get to hear about incidences, which speaks about a Woman’s Bravery Act. It’s not that women are not brave. Just that media really doesn’t showcase such issues … well probably they would if they get time from covering episodes over episodes of the political warfare which most of the times make no sense or is of no importance to a common man.

When the whole world was busy with their hectic schedule, not having time to know what’s happening in their neighborhood, a smart teenager took control of the situation when an intruder tried to break in to her house.

Loon girl is not just another hot teenager. She’s a smart teenager as well. Her dad’s away to India and at this point of time its just her mom n Loony at home. Perfect time for someone to break in to her house isn’t it and that’s what exactly happened, someone did try to break in!!

But our brave Loony didn’t lose her composure in such a moment. She stayed calm, took control of the situation and made the scene look very simple. It’s definitely not all that simple to think and act accordingly in such a situation.

Loony’s post points out a few important precautionary notes that everyone should keep in mind:

1>Necessary or unnecessary lock all the doors when you are home alone. Recheck them to ensure they are locked properly.
2>When you sense danger, don’t assume them to be one of your hallucinations. For all you might know it might be real danger lurking around.
3>It’s always a good practice to know your neighbours in person. Not that you need to spend hours together with each other, but knowing them personally and having their contact numbers can be really helpful especially if live in one of those suburb regions. It’s better if both of you discuss about such situations before hand and be prepared for it.
4>Its always better have burglary alarm at home and LEARN to activate it.
5>Know the numbers where the police can be contacted in such times. It’s advisable to store their number in the emergency list. Most phones give this feature by default; just learn to activate and use it.
6>Never allow strangers inside when you are alone, no matter who they claim to be. If you find anything or anyone suspicious immediately call the police.
7>There are a lot of these self-protective eye sprays available in town. Always make sure you keep one with you. It’s useful even when you are out alone.
8>Most important of all, learn to deal with the situations in a calm n composed way. If you panic that’s when you tend to do all sort of mistakes and put yourself in a more messier situation. Think and act smart and kick those butts :-p

Well if anyone is interested in knowing Loon gal up close then here you go … She’s definitely an hero :)

In the latest controversy making headlines all over the Indian and the British newspapers, I just wanna give a perspective over the racism in West. We recently saw Shilpa Shetty being a victim of racial bullying and we also saw the main accused of these racism, Jade Goody was evicted by popular poll. Although we don’t really know if she really was evicted because most of the white people of Britain gave a major disapproval against racism, or it was a combined job of the non-white community of Britain(I am not saying that the producers of Big Brother rigged it to kick Jade out, but its possible).

I live in US and honestly speaking in this country racism has its own roots. Of course an average white American adult will try hard to show that he is not racist, and almost skin-color blind, but its not true. He just voices his opinion very highly against the racism and pretends that he does not see color, but sub-consciously he is every bit of racist.

Take for example today, just when I was coming out of Starbucks after having my daily dose of coffee, waiting to cross the street, a group of four teenage kids(they were probably 12 or 13 years of age), started shouting “You kicked my dog”(its from a prank phone call clip involving a guy with American-Indian English accent http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerpal). At first I just thought they were playing among themselves, but then I realized that although they were pretending to not look at me, they saw me in the cafe from outside even before I came out and had planned it.

That really pissed me off, Americans don’t teach their kids enough about various cultures and races and then expect them to grow up being racial color blind. I decided to teach these kids a lesson, I liked the attitude of African-Americans in this regard, people fear them, (One of my favorite qutoes “It is much more secure to be feared than to be loved.”- Niccolo Machiavelli). Of course since they weren’t having any direct attack on me, so I couldn’t afford a direct attack on them, plus they were kids, I would be in a disadvantage if I tried anything. So I took my cell phone out, put it to my ear, and started shouting so that they could hear it.

“Yes, I f***ed your Mom, yes all of you… the redhead was really good…”(and whole other bunch of obscenities)

Those guys were shocked beyond capabilities. There prank was being rebounded. Then without giving them time, I did another attack.

“And you, the blond kid, I hadn’t have a chance to F*** your mom, don’t worry I will follow you to your home, and do the honor”

And then I pretended to hung up, put my cell back in my pocket, and retreated to the corner of the street and pretended to wait(I was on crossroad and about to cross just before that), and gave these kids a sneaky villainous look. These kids got in a real panic and screamed and started to run in opposite direction. I pretended to follow them(which made them go into further panic and one of them fell down) and I entered Starbucks again, had another Grande Coffee and headed back to home.

Now of course I did a lot of immoral things, but they were necessary. White Americans don’t give a shit to anyone unless they are afraid of someone. I am sure if they were a bunch of black kids then it would have done been less probable that they did something like(on the basis of race).

I don’t have anything against anyone, and its not like that I face situation like this everyday, almost everyone likes Indians here in America. Indians are seen as very humble and friendly people, and don’t worry if I treat a few more people like these, we won’t be considered criminals or bullies like a few racial groups are considered in America(unless Indian kids start mugging people on road, its not going to happen in near future).

The point I am raising here is that white America, despite of what they claim, is still racist. These kids will never shed their racism, but soon learn how not to show it, some will be successful in honest believing that they are not racist, but on sub-conscious level they will remain racist, and some day when one of these is in situation of Jade, where he/she is under stress will pass racist comments like that. We need to work on this, a lot.
