Do breathing exercises. Most people don’t realize how rarely they simply stop and take a deep breath! Deep breathing is one of the easiest, most natural ways to relieve stress. And the stress relief happens automatically. Deep breathing pulls more oxygen into the blood, which helps the muscles to relax and the mind to clarify because of the extra oxygen. Deep breathing exercises can be done anywhere and work quickly. Do them at your desk when your boss comes by and catches you checking up on your internet dating profile. Do them in the car to avoid stressing about the traffic. Your stress will slowly and steadily drain away.
Listen to music. Listening to your favorite music, whether it be your favorite heavy metal band or a soft and soothing song, is a great way to beat stress. Music tends to slow your breathing and your mind, helping you to avoid dwelling on the things that are creating stress in your life. Another musical stress buster? Sing a song. Singing in a loud voice requires you to breathe deeply, making it a doubly soothing stress buster.
Do a puzzle. Whether it be a jigsaw puzzle in your living room or a Sudoku puzzle on the internet, doing puzzles is a great way to beat stress. Why? While you’re taking your brain off of the subjects that are worrying you most, you’re not really actively thinking. Once you go back to thinking about your problems, they may well seem far less worrying.
Crush some video game monsters. Yes, violent video games create a certain amount of stress. But when that stress is so vastly different from the stress you came home with, it can be a good thing to have it. Turn on your computer or your home gaming system, and take your frustrations out on slimy creatures from planet Gobol– it will quiet your brain for awhile, and your body will thank you.
Bake a cake. If the idea of cooking makes you want to pull your hair out, this probably isn’t the best option for you. But if doing something quiet with your hands and your mind sounds soothing, baking a cake or a batch of cookies can be a wonderful way to get rid of stress. It occupies your body and your mind, giving you little room to think of the things that are bothering you. But at the same time, it doesn’t require too much effort or hard thinking. As a bonus, the smell of cooking baked goods can be incredibly soothing and stimulating… not to mention their taste!
Play with your dog or kids. If you have kids, use your stress as an excuse to spend time with them. Take them to the park and roll around in the grass or push them on the swing set. When all of you attention is focused on laughing and having fun with your kids, there’s nothing leftover to feel stressed out. Not a parent? Take your dog to the dog park and throw a Frisbee for him. You’ll feel soothed and stress-free in no time.
Write it down. Sometimes the only way to let go of stress is to let it all out. If you’re feeling upset because internet dating isn’t working for you as quickly as you hoped, or because you had a fight with your best friend, write it all out. Spend fifteen minutes with a journal or just a blank piece of paper, and let your stress flow from your fingers and onto the page. Rather than just dwelling on your problems in your mind –where you’ll go round and round in unproductive circles– writing them out is the best way to make them disappear. For a little while, at least.
Kick it out. You probably think of exercise as a way to keep in shape, raise your energy, and be healthier overall. And while it’s an important part of accomplishing all of those things, exercise is also a key part of stress relief. Exercise both distracts your mind from whatever is weighing it down, and floods the body with mood-elevating endorphins. Really want to break down your stress and toss it out the door? Go for a high-impact exercise, such as kickboxing, that will get out your anger and aggression while you work.
Progressive muscle relaxation. This is a little-know technique that works incredibly well for relieving stress– because once it disappears from the muscles of the body, it has a much lesser effect on the mind. To do this, you tense and release all of the muscles in your body for ten seconds, starting with your face and working your way all the way down.

** Avoid alliteration. Always.
** Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.
** Avoid clichés like the plague.
** Employ the vernacular.
** Eschew ampersands & abbreviations, etc.
** Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are unnecessary.
** It is wrong to ever split an infinitive.
** Contractions aren’t necessary.
** Foreign words and phrases are not apropos.
** One should never generalize.
** Eliminate quotations. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.”
** Comparisons are as bad as clichés.
** Don’t be redundant; don’t use more words than necessary; it’s highly superfluous.
** Be more or less specific.
** Understatement is always best.
** One-word sentences? Eliminate.
** Analogies in writing are like feathers on a snake.
** The passive voice is to be avoided.
** Go around the barn at high noon to avoid colloquialisms.
** Even if a mixed metaphor sings, it should be derailed.
** Who needs rhetorical questions?
** Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement.

This is the True Story
A son says to his father: ‘Dad, would you be willingly to run a
marathon with me?’
The father, despite his age and a heart disease, says ‘YES’.
And they run that marathon, together.
The son asks: ‘Dad, can you run another marathon with me?’ Again
father says ‘YES’.
They run another marathon, together.
One day the son asks his father: ?Dad would please do the Iron Man with me?’
Now just in case you wouldn’t know, ‘The Iron Man’ is the toughest
triathlon in existence; 4km swimming, then 180 km by bike, and finally
another 42 km running, in one stroke.
Again father says ‘YES’
Maybe this doesn’t ‘touch’ you yet by heart … until you see this

ATTRACTION can be expressed in innumerable ways, not necessarily the only form which blooms between a boy and a girl called love. Our whole universe has been nurturing the very essence of attractions. No one can explain exactly where we got the feeling from or when it started but right from Adam and eve, and to any person to date, this attraction has been playing a major role in life. While some of us our hesitant to express this feeling it has to be understood that attraction is an inseparable part of our life.
Without which life would have been dull and colorless as attraction is also the foundation for relationships. If not for these attractions life would carry no meaning. In different stages of life we are attracted to different things, be it of the opposite sex, cars, clothes, food the list goes on, need not have any set rules.

Anger has been known to be the cause for downfall, be it of a person, a family, or even a clan. Feeling helpless knowing that we are unable to improve a certain situation leads to anger. Learning about the cause of anger is of no use unless we know how to control it, as it many a times it can lead disasters. Right from our mythology, anger has lead to the downfall of dynasties.
Each one of us feel the need to vent out our anger at some time or the other. Thought it is safe and healthy to show our emotions, it should not be forgotten that care should be taken so as not to bring harm to others. Some people are able to control and conceal their feelings while most people regret decisions amde3 in anger. We should control anger and not let anger control us for a better living.

We all know that there are many kinds of addictions. Drugs, alcoholism smoking so on so forth are only a few of the addictions that come to my mind at the mentions of the word ADDICTIONS. It is very easy to become an addict but never an easy task to get out of.
Little known what is started of as occasionally slowly turns to become a habit which later on manifests into the big demon called addiction many hospitals and rehabilitation centers have come up all over the world who play an active part in helping the patients but this is only one feature or on out look to the whole process. The most important part being played by the family members who place their full trust in them. It is through help, cooperation n perseverance that the addict can see a new life. Finally the addict has to immense will power, and most importantly the urge to help himself.
